Bayer, Kroger, and Luke Bryan Partnering with Agrisafe to Train 50 Rural Nurses!
As a part of the Take Care, Now campaign Bayer, Kroger, and Luke Bryan are partnering with Agrisafe to address limited access to healthcare in agricultural communities as part of the “Take Care, Now” campaign, which aims to raise awareness of and help increase access to health and nutrition for Americans living in rural areas. This sponsorship will allow 50 nurses in rural, medically underserved areas to complete the Agrisafe Nurse Scholar course at no cost!
AgriSafe launched the program in 2018 to provide advanced training in the field of agricultural occupational health in order to prepare nurses working in rural communities to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers. Since then, we have trained 245 nurses across 41 states.
Through Bayer and Kroger’s support, 50 nurses will receive free access to the Nurse Scholar training. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, nurses must:
- Work in a medically underserved area, as defined by the Health Resources & Services Administration (click here to determine if your area is designated as a shortage area)
- Be employed by a rural hospital, local health department, or other nonprofit employer
- Demonstrate an interest and ability to integrate learnings into their practices
Interested nurses must complete an online application by January 17, 2024. Once enrolled, the course must be completed by July 31, 2024.
Thank you to our sponsors!
