SUMMARY:Respiratory Protection Program Adapted to Grain Handling Operations
DESCRIPTION:The OSHA respiratory standard requires a written respiratory protection program for situations in which permissible exposure levels (PELs) of airborne contaminants could be exceeded or when the employer requires use of respirators by workers. This training will assist agriculture-based employers who require respirator use to comply with the OSHA respiratory protection program standard. Training includes written worksite specific procedures\, program evaluation\, selection of an appropriate respirator approved by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)\, training\, fit testing\, inspection\, cleaning\, maintenance\, and storage\, medical evaluation\, work area surveillance and air quality standards. \nAt the end of the presentation\, participants will be able to: \n\nRecognize the diverse respiratory hazards unique to agricultural and the justification for a comprehensive respiratory program.\nIdentify the OSHA respirator standards that apply to an agricultural setting.\nUnderstand key components of an effective respiratory protection program.\nLearn how to access resources\, templates\, medical evaluations\, and further trainings to effectively implement a respiratory program.\n\n  \n\n\nRegistration Instructions: \n\n\n\nIf you don’t already have a profile with AgriSafe\, please set up a free account. This free account allows you access to our many training opportunities. Once you have signed up\, you can watch this webinar on-demand. \n\n\n  \n Watch this webinar on-demand.

SUMMARY:Protecting Young Adults in the Agricultural Workforce
DESCRIPTION: In 2014\, The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 253\,000 young workers between the ages of 16 and 24 worked in agriculture. Young workers who live and work on farms are also exposed to potentially dangerous farm-related hazards. Farm operators who hire youth to work on their farm should be aware of all applicable child labor laws. \nAt the conclusion of this program\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify physical and psychological developmental factors to consider when employing and training young adults in the agricultural sector. \nDefine agricultural hazards and exposures that increase the risk of injury and illness among the young worker.\nDescribe regulatory standards that can promote a safe work environment for young employees. \nCreate action steps that can reduce agricultural injury and illness. \n\n This training has expired. Let us know if you’d like us to schedule it again! \n\n\n \n \n Repeat This Webinar\n \n \n NameThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Title of Webinar(Required)Would you like to be contacted if we are able to schedule this webinar again?(Required)\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n Email
