Dr. Tara Nordgren is an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center whose research focuses on how environmental and occupational exposures, and particularly agricultural dusts, affect respiratory and systemic health. Her work examines the biological mechanisms by which inhaled dusts contribute to lung disease, inflammation, and increased susceptibility to infection. She also studies how individual factors, such as nutrition, can influence the body’s response to these exposures. Through her research and outreach, Dr. Nordgren aims to identify practical strategies to reduce risk and improve health outcomes for agricultural workers and rural communities
