Radio Public Service Announcement Campaign
Radio continues to be a main source of information for farmers. From daily commodity prices to weather forecasts, the radio delivers immediate news that affects their livelihoods. It is the medium AgriSafe uses to educate farmers about health and safety issues while in the field.
AgriSafe's informative advertisements air on Agricultural Radio Network stations, stations that reflect farmers' values.
The radio campaign airs during prime-time slots when farmers are most likely listening - between 5 am and 7 pm. Running Monday through Saturday, the ads reach an estimated 43,000 farmers daily!
When a corporation sponsors the AgriSafe Radio Campaign, its name is heard at the end of each ad every day. That’s 221 times per week for three weeks.
That’s a lot of name recognition.
Sponsor Benefits
• Sponsor’s name announced at the end of every informative advertisement during the three week period • Preferred Corporation Sponsor’s logo strategically placed on: - Conference displays at state and local farming events
- AgriSafe brochures
- AgriSafe's website
- AgriSafe's annual report
Gift Card for AgriSafe Services
A farmer’s life is expensive. Between insurance and equipment costs, feed and fertilizers, there is often little leftover. To pay for preventative care is almost certainly not an option.
Your Corporate Sponsorship of AgriSafe services helps make that care accessible to farmers. When your corporation decides on a sponsorship, you know your funds are going directly to easing a farmer’s life and possibly extending it. Simply put, your company sponsors gift cards that are given to farmers through various connections and the farmers are then able to better protect themselves.
AgriSafe gift cards can be customized to include your corporation logo. The gift cards can be worth various amounts to reflect the farmer’s purchasing level. The cards can be used to cover AgriSafe clinical services or to buy personal protective equipment such as respirators, goggles, or nitrile glove.
Corporations that sponsor AgriSafe services and products demonstrate a superier level of commitment to improving the health of farm families.

Farmer Health Information Website
Farmers need access to agricultural specific health information that is both accurate and easily obtained. One of the most useful resources to ensure they receive that information is through the internet.
With your help, the AgriSafe Network will test, design and maintain a health information website devoted solely to agricultural health issues for farm families. The website will be integrated into the current AgriSafe Network website (www.agrisafe.org) as an expanded feature. Currently, the website offers links to health services and much more.
General health websites are widely available; however, there are few websites that offer agricultural health information in a search engine format. The existing websites are academic in nature and are not easy to navigate for the farm family. Together, Corporate Sponsorship and the AgriSafe Network will fill the internet's current lack of non-academic health information specific to the occupation of farming.
Sponsorships’ Market Advantage
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Report, a growing number of U.S. farms utilize internet access. More affluent farms (72%) were more likely to use the internet that those with smaller incomes (47%).
Agribusinesses that use website marketing know that it boosts sales and maintains a solid
customer base.
Website Sponsorship gives corporations:
• An opportunity to market their product or service through advertising space that directly reaches the targeted audience – the farmers and the farming community
• A link to the corporation’s website
• The investment into the ongoing work of AgriSafe as it strives to improve the health and well being of farm families
• An opportunity to build brand awareness through repetitive viewing of site visitors
Next Step - Conducting the Feasibility Assessment
The first phase of this initiative involves the completion of a feasibility assessment to determine the potential success of this concept. Start-up funds from sponsors will be used to complete the feasibility assessment before funds are allocated to the actual design of the website.
