The AgriSafe Network is led by a committed and diverse board of directors that operates under a rigorous governance process. Five working committees with representation from AgriSafe provide recommendations to the board of directors. The governing body of the AgriSafe Network is the Board of Directors, which has all powers of governing and directing, and of overseeing the management of the business and affairs of the organization.
The basic governance of the AgriSafe Network is laid out in the following documents.
The Board of Directors and management of the AgriSafe Network are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and conduct and promoting a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the organization.
Standing committees are extensions of the Board of Directors and are accountable to the entire board. Each AgriSafe Certified and Organizational Member is expected to serve on at least one committee. Committees have been formed to focus objectives and to manage the multiple Network projects. AgriSafe staff members have been assigned to each committee to prepare documents and complete tasks assigned by the committee members. Staff support, therefore, will allow you to focus on providing recommendations without having the burden of additional work. The following committee structures are operational and meet via conference calls 2-4 times annually.
